Welcome to Chappaqua

Tucked amongst vivid forestry in the town of New Castle, New York, the small but affluent hamlet of Chappaqua is a census-designated place just 30 miles north of vibrant New York City. Chappaqua is served by the Chappa station—a part of the Metro-North Railroad—and is, consequently, a commuter-friendly location for those considering a suburban lifestyle outside of the Big Apple’s bustle.

Settled in the 1730s by a group of Quakers, Chappaqua has always been a charming rural area that thrives on community. When the New York and Harlem Railroad pushed through to town, business and activity blossomed around the station.

Most residential housing here is brimming with opulence and set within the beautiful hills and woodlands, affording homes in Chappaqua some spectacular views. Magnificent brick Colonials overlooking acres of ponds and rolling hills, stone manors certain to take your breath away, spacious single-family ranches: everywhere you look in Chappaqua, you’re bound to find beauty.

What to Love

  • Easy access to New York City, just 30 miles away
